Experience
Pain varies significantly by placement. Areas with thin skin over bone (ribs, spine, feet) tend to be more intense. Fleshier spots like the outer arm or thigh are typically more manageable. Our artists work at a pace that keeps you comfortable.
Eat a full meal before your session, stay hydrated, wear comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the tattoo area, and avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior. Come rested and relaxed.
Aftercare
Surface healing typically takes 2–4 weeks. Full deep-skin healing takes 3–6 months. During healing, keep the tattoo clean, moisturized, and out of direct sunlight. We provide full aftercare instructions after every session.
We recommend fragrance-free, alcohol-free lotion (like Lubriderm or Aveeno) applied lightly 2–3 times per day after the first wash. Avoid petroleum-based products, soaking in water (baths, pools), and sun exposure during healing.
Yes. Touch-ups for work done at M. Ink are offered once the tattoo is fully healed (minimum 3 months). Some touch-ups are complimentary depending on the piece — ask your artist at booking.
